Shabbat Services This Weekend, August 9-10, 2019:

This Friday evening and Saturday morning, August 9-10, services will be officiated by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan.


Tisha B'av at Har-El, This Saturday Night, August 10:

On Saturday evening, August 10, Tisha B'av Eve, at 8 PM, we will gather together here at Har-El for study session (in Hebrew) led by Rabbi Ada, followed by an evening service (at approximately 9 PM) and the reading of Eicha (the Scroll of Lamentations), officiated by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan.


Memorial Service to Mark Seven Years Since the Passing of Ido Aboudy z"l, Friday August 16:

The annual memorial service for Ido Aboudy z"l, son of Har-El members Alice and David Aboudy, will be held on Friday, August 16 at 10 AM at the Dalet Amot civilian cemetery at Kibbutz Anavim, officiated by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan.  Those interested in attending are asked to contact Cantor Evan.


Congregational Tour of the Hiriya Recycling Park, Monday, September 2:

On Monday, September 2, we will go on a congregational day-trip to the Hiriya Recycling Park. 

The Program:

8:30 AM: Depart Har-El on a private bus.

10 AM – 1 PM: Guided tour (in Hebrew) of the park.

1-2 PM: A light lunch at the "Hiriya Café", a social-environmental project employing youth-at-risk from a local youth-advancement unit.

3:30 PM: Estimated return to Har-El.


Cost: 140 NIS per person, including round-trip transportation, entrance to the site, guided tour, and lunch.  Payment can be made in cash the day of the tour or in advance by credit card (the fee can be made in payments).


All are invited, both members and non-members.

Rabbi Ada's Vacation:

Rabbi Ada will be on vacation from Sunday August 11 through Sunday, August 25.  Cantor Evan will officiate at services, and one can contact him if the need arises.  Have a nice vacation Rabbi Ada!

Shiatsu Treatments at Kehilat Har-El (Free of Charge):

Keren Kuperwasser is a shiatsu therapist with 24 years of experience in the field.  She recently made aliyah and has opened a private practice. Keren is happy to give, here at Har-El, a series of treatments for improving one's wellbeing.

The treatments for Har-El members will be given free of charge on Monday afternoons, here at Har-El.  Those treated can express their thanks by making a donation to Har-El and by referring Keren to others.
