“Purple Badge” Guidelines for Services and Events at the Synagogue:
Activities at the synagogue follow the guidelines of the “Purple Badge” (Tav Sagol). Therefore, please read and be sure to follow all the instructions listed below for the sake of our health:
Only members of the congregation without a fever, not in quarantine, or not in proximity with a person in quarantine or ill with COVID-19 can enter the synagogue.
Sidurim, kipot, and talitot will not be handed out. Please bring your own siddur, kipah, and tallit from home.
Bottled water will not be placed at the entrance. Please bring your own personal water bottle.
Please refrain from shaking hands or other physical contact, and keep physically distant from each other.
One should arrive wearing a protective mask, covering your mouth and nose as according to regulations, and at all times while you are in the synagogue!
It is recommended to bring a bottle of alcohol gel for your personal use.
The gate to the synagogue will be closed a half hour after the beginning of the service in order to prevent the entry of “walk-ins” and unknown guests. Apart from members of the congregation, entrance will not be permitted for non-members or groups. At the end of each service, a picture will be taken in the sanctuary to note who is present.
You can also receive from Cantor Evan the code for the synagogue gate (in case you are running late), as well as letting him know if you’d like to borrow from Har-El a siddur for your personal use.
In order to help us prepare for the service, we ask that all those who plan on attending services Friday evening and/or Saturday morning to please send a Whatsapp to Cantor Evan by Friday afternoon at 054-4742314.
