This Saturday, May 18 at 11:30 AM (following services and kiddush), Pastor Danny Kopp from the neighboring Baptist Church on Narkis Street will deliver a lecture in English on:
"If a Jew Can Be an American, Can a Baptist Be an Israeli?  A History of Baptists/Protestants in Israel."

New Exhibition in the Sanctuary by Artist Avraham Yakin:

Yishar koach to Har-El member, artist Avraham Yakin on his new exhibition titled: “Jerusalem”, which decorates the walls of our sanctuary.


Save the Date – Har-El’s Annual General Meeting and Board Elections – Monday, June 10 at 5:30 PM:

Kehilat Har-El’s annual general meeting to confirm the balance sheet for 2018 and to elect the congregation’s board for a two-year term will be held on Monday, June 10 at 5:30 PM in the sanctuary.


Members of the congregation are invited to submit their candidacy to the congregation’s board and committees by filling out a candidacy form and submitting it to the synagogue office by June 6.

A Look Back at Last Week:


On Tuesday, May 7, members of the congregation came together for a memorial service to mark Memorial Day for the IDF and security forces and victims of terror.


“Har-El Salutes Harel”:

On the morning of Memorial Day, Wednesday May 8, Har-El members Shosh Blum, Esther Janes, and Gila Shapira, together with Rabbi Ada, participated in a memorial ceremony at the military ceremony in Kiryat Anavim and placed a wreath on behalf of the congregation in memory of the soldiers of the “Harel” brigade of the Palmach who fell during the War of Independence.

Independence Day at Har-El – Festive Service, Picnic, and Singing:

On the morning of Independence Day, Thursday, May 9, we celebrated here at Har-El the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel with a festive service led by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan, accompanied by pianist Anastasia Sobolev.

Following the service, we held a picnic in our congregation’s garden organized by our administrator, Shany, which included communal singing led by Cantor Evan.
