Shabbat Services This Weekend - January 14-15:

Shabbat evening service – Friday, January 14 at 5 PM.


Shabbat morning service – Saturday, January 15 at 9:30 AM.  Har-El member Inbar Erlich will read Torah and Haftarah.


Services will be led by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan and during them we will also mark the coming holiday of Tu Bishevat which falls next week. Services as every week will be livestreamed to Har-El’s YouTube channel using the following link:

as well as to our congregation’s Facebook page.


*** Due to the coronavirus, the windows of our sanctuary will remain open even during the winter in order to properly ventilate the hall.  Although the heat will be on, please dress accordingly with warm clothes when necessary.


Workshop on Using the Sanctuary's Defibrillator With Cantor Evan:

At the conclusion of services this Friday evening, January 14, Cantor Evan will teach members of the congregation how to use the defibrillator that was given to our synagogue by the Jerusalem municipality and is located in our sanctuary.  The short workshop will be about a half hour long, and will be given in Hebrew since the defibrillator only gives instructions in Hebrew.


* For the convenience of our members, Cantor Evan will give the same short workshop on the following three dates: at the conclusion of services Saturday morning, January 15, and at the conclusion of services both Friday evening and Saturday morning, January 21-22.


Studying the Book of Ezra and Nehemiah on Monday Evenings with Rabbi Ada on Zoom:

English Beit Midrash on Tuesdays with Har-El Member Rabbi Helen Bar-Yaacov, at the Synagogue:

The next class of our English Beit Midrash ("Journeying Through the Tanach") led by Har-El member Rabbi Helen Bar-Yaacov will be held on Tuesday, January 18, at 4:30 PM, at the synagogue.


The beit midrash is open to everyone, including those whose native language isn't English.
