Shabbat Services This Weekend, October 8-9:

Shabbat evening service – Friday, October 8 at 6 PM.


Shabbat morning service – Saturday, October 9 at 9:30 AM. Har-El member Carmit Federman will deliver the sermon.


Services this weekend will be led by Rabbi Ada and Cantor Evan.


Reminder: one is obligated to wear a mask (covering one's nose and mouth) in the synagogue.

Study with Rabbi Ada Resumes – Classes in Bible and Gemara:

Weekly, on Mondays at 5:30 PM, beginning October 25: on the books Ezra & Nehemiah.


Monthly, on the last Wednesday of every secular month at 5:30 PM, beginning November 24, where we will study various different passages in the Gemara.


All of the classes will be held over Zoom.


Registration Continues for the Guided Tour of the Bible Lands Museum by Har-El Member Rabbi Helen Bar-Yaacov:

All of the members of the congregation are invited to a guided tour of the Bible Lands Museum led by Har-El member Rabbi Helen Bar-Yaacov.  The subject of the tour is "The cultures of the peoples surrounding Israel."


The tour will be led in Hebrew and English and will be held on Wednesday, October 20 at 4:30 PM. We will meet at the entrance to the museum.


Entrance to the museum is according to the green badge (tav yarok) rules, and during the tour one must wear a mask.  There is an elevator to the exhibit hall.


The cost to enter the museum is 22 NIS for senior citizens and 44 NIS regular admission.  Payment is in cash (please bring exact change).


In order to prepare accordingly, please let Har-El administrator Shany Shlomo know if you will be participating in the tour at 053-649-9584.


"Journeying Through the Tanach": an English Beit Midrash Led by Har-El Member Rabbi Helen Bar-Yaacov:

The next class will be held at Har-El on Tuesday, October 12, at 4:30 PM.

The beit midrash is open to everyone, including those whose native language isn't English.

Climate Change – From Fear to Action: A conversation with Rabbi Efrat Rotem and psychologists Shiran Yunis and Lior Pesach Shimoni, in the framework of the activist beit midrash (in Hebrew) of the Reform Movement, held once a month on the first Monday of the new Hebrew month.  The first class will be held on the 5th of Cheshvan, October 11, at 8 PM.  Following is the Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86421757774
